H.E MR.OLORUNTOBA OKE

Oloruntoba Oke , born 30 April,1960, had his primary education at St. Michael’s African Church primary school Apata ganga, Ibadan Oyo State. He later attended Lagos African Church Grammar School (LAFROGRAMS) from 1973 to 1977 having the best result of the set. He worked briefly with the Punch newspapers in 1978 after which he proceeded to the Ogun State Polytechnic in October 1979 to study Business Administration. Before this, Oloruntoba Oke as a youth had joined the committee of friends which later metamorphosed into the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN). His political ambition new no bounds as he also became the President of the Students Union Government and member of senate of the Nigerian Association of Students (NANS) in 1982. He graduated in 1983 and joined Hollaway Motors as Sales Manager. His Professional career grew side-by-side his political career as he joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 1990, where he became Ward Secretary B4 Agege LGA in 1991. He left Hollaway Motors and joined UTC as Senior Sales Representative in the same year, and was also the delegate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the Local Government Congress. He left UTC in 1993 to join Film Senod Holdings Nigeria Limited as resident Sales Manager until 1996 when he left to join DAAR Communications PLC as a marketing officer. His ingenuity and unprecedented achievements got him elevated to the post of Head Marketing, Abuja and the entire North, a post which he occupies till date .

Oloruntoba Oke is an associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Association of Nigeria (APCON), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and the Nigerian Institute of Marketing (NIMARK).He is married with children.

He joined the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in 1999 and indicated his intention to run for the Ifako-ijaiye, local government chairmanship position, he later stood down for the good of the party. He is currently running for the post once again.
